The Dog Jog Story
Dog Jog was founded in 2016 by Brandee Paisano, a US Navy Veteran living in Seattle.
For Brandee, running has always been therapeutic and a large component of her lifestyle. After getting out of the military she realized she needed this even more to help her through her transition.
Eventually, she rescued an adult dog named Tula and, to help Tula deal with some of the trauma she was dealing with, they began to run together. Brandee realized the impact running together had on both of their lives and how important it was to both of them. This eventually led her to start Dog Jog.
Dog Jog has grown leaps and bounds in the last year, and Brandee has welcomed many more dogs to the Dog Jog family and continues to build a fantastic team of walkers and runners. In early 2019, one of our walkers promoted from within, Jeff Permuy, took on the role of Operations Manager.
This beautiful lady is Tula!
Tula is, as we mention above, Brandee's rescue pitbull and the inspiration for Dog Jog. She is also Dog Jog's unofficial mascot! You'll see her excited little face adorning our logo.
If you keep an eye on our social media you'll see a lot more of Tula, and you may even see her running sometime on Alki in West Seattle.
